Me and the people of Calypso are to see the nests of the puffin. What will these small colorful birds, who have migrated here to reproduce, think of the strange orange creatures who come to admire them.

A welcoming committee in flight.
Perhaps he is still looking for a mate?
Telephoto lens got a work out, the RIB was many meters off shore.
Who can this be?
A gentle giant has stopped to satisfy a curiosity.
Here we see the head and fin of inquisitive visitor.

  • Don McGrain on I always pad my travel times in case of delays etc. I gave myself 3 hrs to get from Union Station in DC to the airport. One hour has already been burned up by Amtrak running an hour late. I also just discovered that the Metro in DC doesn’t go to the airport? Last leg is by bus. Starting to think I’ll be lucky to make the flight.
