Took a second walk yesterday while the sun was out. Of course this time of year the sun is always out. So it sunny. Anyway the path is called the Sculpture and Shore walk. No doubt you can see why.

Some meat soup and a local lager for lunch.

I’ll fill in some of my observations about yesterdays mad dash in a moment. First though I was pleasantly surprised to find my room ready when I got to the hotel around 0900 local time. After a rejuvenating shower I spied a mini market along with a view of the bay out my window and decided I’d sit outside and have breakfast.

There is a walking and bike trail along the the water. I sat on a bench and had my coffee, danish, and wrap.

Tidbits: This is the plus code for my hotel if you want to know where I am- 44W4+C8 Reykjavík. Also ‘breakfast’ cost about $10 US. About what I expected, but the rest of the week breakfast is part of the hotel package.

Need coffee. Custom line is very long so it may be sometime before I make a proper post. With coffee.

Down the last bit of packing before heading to the train station. Trying to decide which book to take with me. I’ve owned ‘Following the Equator’ for years. It’s been the book I only read when I’m away from home. So I haven’t picked it up in quite awhile. I have gotten involved in reading the Greek classic though, and it just feels like the book for this trip. My first reaction when the new luggage arrived was ‘ too big’ ? But I see it is the perfect size for this trip. Clothes on the left, hiking gear on the right.
